Basics of Ceramic Slip Casting Technique

In this course, you will learn the basics of slip casting technique and get the chance to cast your own small cups, bowls, or plates. You will also have the opportunity to decorate your cast pieces and glaze them. It's a wonderful opportunity to surprise your loved ones with handmade gifts!

You will have the opportunity to use liquid clay to cast objects in molds. Casting is a fun and meticulous activity that allows you to create regular and identical items in a series. At Clayhem, there are molds for rice bowls, cereal bowls, mugs, espresso cups, and plates.

For this course, you can also bring your own casting mold and use it. During the first two sessions, we will cast and finish the pieces, and in the third session, we will glaze the items.

We will be using Keracast casting slip and various dipping and brush-on glaze.

The course accommodates approximately 18 participants. 

Finished course works can be collected 4 weeks after the course, we will email you as soon as they are ready. Please pick up your finished works within four weeks of the course ending.

Attire: We do not recommend white silk or loose sleeves, otherwise anything goes Aprons provided by the studio

The course fee is €198, which includes instruction, clays, glazes, coffee and tea, and VAT.
